Things are heating up in here…
So how did I go from landscape to plants? Well, it’s not as big of a jump as you might think.
I was drawn to the potted plant by a surprise encounter to the Fuller Gardens Green House back in early September. And, this day trip got me thinking. The more I examined the reference photos I had taken, the more poetry I began to see in the potted pant as a subject. So far these pieces are very much an exploration of contained wildness; a complete juxtaposition to most of my previous work.
